How we made it
The casing of the robot was made using sheet metal. We used bending techniques to shape the metal the way we wanted to. We also drilled holes in the metal to bolt the Arduino and the motors. The batteries were taped to the casing to make it easier to remove them. The axe was made using a band saw to shape it the way we wanted to and then pressed it into the servo motor for a tight fit.
We didn't win :(
How our Robot Worked
The casing of the robot was made out of sheet aluminum metal. It housed the Arduino, the motors, and the battery. Two DC motors were used to move the robot and one servo-motor was used to power our weapon, a spinning metal axe. These were all connected to the Arduino.
The end result
We customized the robot to look like Chain Chomp from the Mario Kart series.
